USS George Bush

Hi all. Your huge ship the USS George Bush aircraft carrier had been in our local waters in The Solent off Portsmouth and Southampton in the uk and left today so we got up really early to go out to see her. Wow what a massive ship!! It's protected by our police and army in Ribs etc and has a 250 meter exclusion zone around her which I know we got closer than as the ribs came toward us to keep us at arms length. Great sight to see though.  Here's a few pics

That ship is moored about a mile west from where the Mary Rose, King Henry The 8ths war ship sank in 1545. I went right over the wreck site today and wondered why old Henry the 8th would have thought about the George Bush!?

Ok. The SC35 boat didn't happen so I got the smaller SC29. Essentially the same boat but smaller

We love it! The hard top takes seconds to pull back which is great with our weather here in the uk. Handles very well in the chop and cruises at 23 knots max 35 knots. Bow thruster and twins. Picked her up with only 43 hours on so brand new really
