Bimini Under Arch to Arch-Mounted Conversion

Anyone ever convert their bimini and enclosure from an under the arch setup to mount to the arch? Does this require replacing the frame and all canvas, or just certain pieces of canvas?

TIA!

Depends on the boat. What boat are you looking to do this to?

Can you have it cut and the seams sewn then mount to the arch with buttons or zippers?

My 280's bimini is connected to the arch. I like it because I can fold the bimini to the arch when I want full sun in the cockpit.

Same thing can be done with bimini under the arch.

    I have a 280 EC.

@Cableguy Greg: that's what I want to be able to do. The under-arch version is difficult to close.

@frenchship: I haven't figured out how to do this. The frame uprights are too long to clear the arch, without unscrewing components, so the bimini is left on. The sun here will rot it soon. It's almost like the bimini, or arch, was an afterthought.

For the front bimini, you will probably need new poles. It is very short. For the rear one, you might be able to get away with your current poles, but I am not sure. I can post some pictures for you this weekend. Your camper top will be totally different because it attaches to the arch as well.
