Well the generator still remains to run.  I"ve had the stator and rotor tested at an electric shop . Then sent to CA to a rewind shop, who said it also tested good.  They carried stator over to another shop to have surge tested , it also tested good . So they returned back to me . I've recently carried to another service guy who seems to be on his game. He says it's definitely stator or rotor. He would start with stator.  Also was told by a kohler repair guy to forget that model........they're JUNK !  Will always give problem , that's why he quit working on these models 3 yrs ago.  But I'm sure there are many running today .......but apparently many have issues as mine. Just letting you guys know that I'm still not giving up . Think I will have a rewind done on stator although it shows good !
