246 Captiva Fresh Water Tank Drain

We just purchased our first new (to us) 2007 Captiva 246 BR. I'd like to drain the fresh water tank but can't seem to figure out how to do that. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Run a tube/hose into it and siphon is how I've done it.

    Welcome @Airclnr
If you meant to completely empty, then siphon. Otherwise just run it through your system. It's good to run the pump and keep faucets etc. wet and working. If you're trying to clean it out, just run some baking soda through several tanks of fresh water. And fill the tank about half, dump the baking soda in and take her for a ride to slosh around. Will get fizzy and pressurized a bit but should be ok. Have also heard of running a mild bleach solution through, but harder on pump seals and not friendly for the overboard drain.

Nice meeting you too. Its a great boat and has absolutely everything we were looking for in terms of amenities for comfort & enjoyment on the water. Others we looked at had just a transom ladder and no bow ladder, no cockpit sink, just one in the head, no transom trunk, etc.etc. You will have many happy moments and memories. Our grand-daughter cried and she's not real keen on the cruiser idea because she likes to ride up front in the bow!
