Mercathode Controller Mounting location

Where do you have your Mercathode controller mounted?  Engine or transom wall? They pulled both engines and are now putting them back in.  Somethings just don't look right.  I swore they were mounted to the transom wall to the right of the inner transom assembly but the mechanic says that they are "always" mounted on the engine.

Mine is on top of the engine to the rear of the throttle body under the flame arrestor cover.

You don't have Merc engines, so they had to put them somewhere else.

The motors were sold as a Mercruiser package. Guess there was not a good mounting location
