Hatch

I have dead batteries and the hatch won't open without. I brought shore power to the boat and it's still not charging and nothing is working..am I missing something. Also, is there a way to open the hatch cover to get at the batteries manually?

Second option is to remove the table pole mount and reach in and remove the pin that connects the hatch actuator to the hatch.
I'd try the first option if you can.2002 - 270FV Mag 350 B3 -

Yes, it should charge when on shore power. At the main power panel in the cabin, find the circuit breaker for the battery charger and make sure it's not turned off by mistake.
In the engine room, look at the battery charger. There should be an amp meter or some sort of power indicator.
It's not uncommon for battery chargers to fail after 10-12 years, although sometimes they last longer. If the charger is getting power and not charging the batteries, you might need to replace it.
