Dash Panel Rocker Switches & Printed Actuators Found !!!!

Hello Guys and Gals ................

Every Once in while, someone pipes up with a question regarding the dash panel rocker switches.  If you are like me, the switches are fine, but the actuators are faded beyond any hope of reading.  I happened upon a source for both the switch bodies and PRINTED Actuators.

We're thinking of fabbing our own now. I have a thread on here about looking for a replacement, and getting the run around by Rinker.

There are a lot of faded and cracked dash panels (switch and instrument) out there that are in poor condition.  If you find someone who can fab them, there might be some interest among the members.  Mine are functionally intact, but I would consider replacing them if a reasonable replacement was available................

Anyone out there had a dash cover made? Some of the older Rinkers and Formulas came with one. I keep towels over mine when not in use.

I had a dash cover made early on.  To me this is the most valuable piece of canvas on the boat.

Just a word of CAUTION ----  Be careful when selecting switches.  Within the CONTURA Series, there are basically 2 different size units, each with lots of options.  The 8 terminal unit is what I have on my 2002 FV 310 and drops right in to the hole in the dash panel, but there is also a 10 terminal unit which is slightly larger.  With the 15 part number it's easy to mess these up.  (Example uses 4 first digits only ...)

Example 1:   V1D1  V=Series   1=SPST    D=20A 12VDC     1=8 term .250 tabs no barrier

Example 2:   V1D2  V=Series   1=SPST    D=20A 12VDC     1=10 term .250 tabs no barrier

What's really important is the 4th digit of the part number.  It must = 1 or J   (8 terminal switch assy)
