That's a tuff one....pump motor is running but not pumping the fluid...older boat, might need a seal rebuild? Have nor dealt with that...yet....recent repairs? Faulty limit switch?
I tried to help a guy at the boat ramp yesterday with his Volvo/Penta duo prop drive that was stuck down. We fiddled with it a few minutes, and I had to get going. When I was driving my truck down the ramp, I saw he got it up. There was full fluid, but there was NO clicking or anything electrical happening when he toggled his switch. I know that's not much help......but I guess it's more common than ya think!
So what you are saying is that the pump is pumping but nothing is going up?.....Must....hold.....back....must not go into smarta#$ mode... This is so hard i think my mouth is bleeding from biting my tongue. Seals were dry.... @Handymans342 you are making this really tough to come up with a serious response.
I was on my Kayak under the boat on the lift. I didnt know the motor drove a shaft driven pump. Not like the Mercruiser style pumps. Anyone have a picture?

David, stop trying to be like me. No one can compete with the Handy. RLMAO
Looks an awful lot like a Mercruiser setup. So i was wrestling with one of mine not working when i got it back in the water. I mean i took it all apart. The symptoms were both were working then one stopped, then the other stopped. Switch at the throttle tested ok, wires tested ok, jumping the pump worked. Ended up having multiple issues that were causing the problems. So on the mercruisers there are TWO fuses. One fuse block the main power connects to and then a 20amp glass fuse between power and solenoid. Both were blown. Second one of my solenoids were blown. Only way to test is individually.
