Fuel Stabilization

Does anyone use a fuel stabilizer when winterizing their boat? I never have and have not had a problem, but thinking it would be good to do.

Willhound Member Posts: 4,208 ✭✭✭✭✭Yes. Always. Modern fuels with no lead start to break down after about 30 days whether or not ethanol is present. I like both the Merc stabilizer (I think called Quik-store) and I also use Startron as a stabilizer and helps with any water issues.

I think as long as you have good gas, no corn additive's , 6 mos, you would fine.
