1 - OK finally got a chance to run our 2006 270FV/496/B3 at full throttle. Using the GPS in knots per hour, headwind - 35k (40 mph) @ 4500 rpm, tailwind - 36K (41 mph) @ 5000 rpm. This was with 1/2 tank fuel, no tabs and drive slightly trimmed, only me aboard.
2 - noticed some play in the steering. Using a clock as a guide, the steering wheel will move from 12 to 1 before the drive moves. Any ideas how to diagnose/repair?
3 - Latest addition is a lift at our covered slip at Kent Narrows, Maryland. Some pics here.

@handymans342, how will the prop slip info help?
each boat is different
lab machined props will be way better then let’s say box prop
for
cruisers it’s all about wot rpm and plane time
wither up or down in pitch
Also installing our new swim platform.
