Turkey with a Bud.

In the Pittsburgh area, there is a restaurant called Mad Mex that has a dish called a Gobblerito. It is turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, corn and some black beans for a little Mexican flair, wrapped in a burrito covered in turkey gravy served with cranberry sauce on the side. They serve them from October 1st to the day before turkey day. We were going to get them for Thanksgiving dinner this year, but the admiral didn't want them since she couldn't get them fresh on Thanksgiving morning. So I am making a turkey breast.

Would for sure be on the boat- last year we had the boat in the water, did the family thing and then headed to the boat..there is a club that meets for the weekend- generally older couples that I suppose do not have family in the area. River is still flooded from Irma so don't think that will happen tho year...

At home is my vote. It's only once a year.There are 25 coming over, I'm deep frying 4 turk's.  Some will be cajun,  my wife's favorite Holiday. We have no drama, No whining allowed, No one can bring anything, Beer, and wine flows afterward.   Probably cost 1 boat unit but it's worth it.

I'm at home, turkey almost ready!  We start the food and drinks by 1pm and relax all day in front of the fireplace.  Just my family and father-in-law (who is my college football buddy - and drinkin buddy).  Wouldn't have it any other way!

Got my boat him to dunk in the am to see if I fixed the leak- if so, will start getting back on the water. Really wanted to get in the Christmas parade this year but looks like coming up short again...
