Express Cruiser Transom Leak

For the second year in a row the starboard side B3 drive U joints are all rusted up at the end of the season.  These were brand new at the beginning of the season.  New bellows installed last spring.  Mechanic says there has to be a leak somewhere else.  Has anyone else had persistent slow leaking in and around the drive?  I see a lot of posts on transom assemblies leaking.  Is this prevalent in the 360 (mine is a 2009)?  Port side is fine.  I have moisture in the transom now and will need to see to what extent the damage is there.   But what about causes?  Any others have experience with this in the 360?

Yeah but that wouldnt leak into the bellows I don't believe

Just wondering if there is water in the bildge when you are trying to plane off and it sloshes back angainst the transom, could it be leaking past the seal for the drive shaft into the bellows? Once in there it would have no way to get out, and the rust would start.

I'm trying to think of my recent trouble..steering pin or the transom seal leaking above it and running down into the drive bellows? Just need to be in the water and get back there and look...

yikes! Fixing to find out if mine was installed correctly this weekend- kind of freaking out a bit....
