Water leaking from the freshwater tank vent when connected to shore water?

When connected to fresh water on shore my vent for the freshwater tank will leak water down the side of the boat?

There is a check valve that should isolate the 'city water' from the on board tank/pump side. Yours must be bad. Pressurizing your tank will fail it.

You probably have a stuck check valve. Maybe blocked with debris. I would locate it and pull it out and try cleaning it.

We discovered we have the same issue - when our shore water hose is hooked up - it fills up our fresh water tank.  We did pull the check-valve and clear the debris but nothing was in there - or in the strainer.  So we purchased a 1/2 inch check valve but before we go cutting does anyone know if this is the right side diameter for a 2008 350 Cruiser (sorry don't know if they would all be the same or not)
