Grabbed a couple pics of my set up. I did the diy filter two years ago and then when I saw wills set up decided to add the valve in line since the filter was already made. Inspired other boats around me to do the same in storage:
@liberty44140 , that looks exactly what I might do as well. I have the larger valve that I drilled right in the tank, but I'm thinking this wouldn't hurt (we have some really strong pump outs in the area). Liberty, did you just get it at home depot?
Hi dream, yep bought from Home Depot. No stock at store so ordered online to store for free shipping. Used a T from Lowe’s. Could not find the exact one on Lowe’s site, here is the 3/4” version of what I used. Lowe’s Store had the 1/2” version in stock:
This thread has me pondering, and realizing the suction on a powered pump out vac is huge, is it even possible to have too much venting? To the point it affects the ability to properly pump out the tank? I'm thinking probably not?
