Inflatable life jackets

I use the Mustang brand inflatable life jackets since they are easy to wear.  I had to replace the CO2 cartridge (out dated) on mine so decided to give it a real life in the water test.  It activates quick and not 'explosive' like you might think, maybe 2-3 seconds from in the water to fully inflated.  Tons of bouancy!  A few pics for those who have never seen them inflated.  One shows how bright the SOLAS reflective tape is on these too.

Good to know. Also noticed the carpet, we have that runner in our cabin!

One thing I learned about ours.  Always bring them in off of the back deck at night.  If they are always out in the open on the back deck, the humidity in the night air will eventually cause them to inflate.

@Tony, yes my 2 older ones have the warning about high humidity/splashing causing them to inflate.

I just bought a new Mustang HIT type that only inflates if it is submerged >4" under water.  Now I one I can wear in my dinghy or in the rain/spray and not worry about it going off!
