Rinker Captiva 196 sterndrive fuel tank

Rinker Captiva 196 sterndrive: fuel tank will only take half a tank or so when fueled in the water at the marina.   It fills completely when it's on the trailer at the gas station. Had the mechanic check filler tube vent tube.  No problems there.  Any suggestions.

    Are you relying on the gauge or are you going by how many gallons are going in? It sounds like your float on the fuel sender is hanging up at some point and giving you false readings.

    Different fuel pumps? Maybe the marina has a spill guard or something on the nozzle that is blocking the vent?

    Gauge float, etc. was pulled and validated.  I'm beginning to think it may be the gas pump at the marina.  I'll motor across the lake to a different marina and try to fill-up there.
