Oh, there are definitely bits and pieces that could be resold. But the buyer would also have to move the boat, remove the parts, sell them all, and dispose of the hull -- all of which costs money. It's a losing proposition.
I'm guessing this could be a pretty good business, especially if companies slow down or get out of production of these boats...maybe not o this extreme...
Speaking of total losses..... just watched a Miami news station last night. There were dozens of big boats still abandoned all over Miami from Irma damage and even though the owners could be traced via the hull and reg numbers the reporter said it was not mandatory - in Florida - to carry damage insurance. Therefore piles of these boats were being lifted with cranes and put on transports to be taken away. NOT the responsibility of the owner to retrieve and dispose of them. Once more Joe Public gets ****$ed.
