Is there a better windshield wiper arm?

Has anybody ever upgraded the windshield wiper arm on a 370 or similar Rinker?

When I cruise in the rain, the wiper is basically useless. The blade barely touches the glass. It's just a bad geometry -- not really the blade's fault. Is there a better arm?

I looked at some pantograph arms (where the blade stays vertical while moving side-to-side). Seems like it would be difficult to "park" the blade out of the field of view.

My 342 arms work well. I just wish they covered more glass

Mine can be hit or miss. Not always that great. the real problem is if water gets splashed up (instead of it being rain water), it has a little salt that just doesn't wipe off well. I need to add a fluid reservoir with a spray

This one on GLS actually claims to be a Rinker part. I kinda doubt that, but I'm tempted to buy one and see if I can make it work.

Why don’t you replace the wiper blade and bend the wiper arm so it makes more contact aka pressure

Tried that - no such luck. The glass curves too much, and the angle of the motor shaft isn't right.

No. The wiper arm is sitting in the transom locker.

How did you remove the arm? Mine has a small hex screw at the base. With that removed, should the arm just pull up and off?

There is a spring loaded piece at the base that should be what is holding it on. I am almost positive you can replace the arm with an automotive wiper arm and blade which would be a much better improvement.
