Rinker 330 questions

Hello,

We are looking at a 1999 Rinker 330 in a few days, and I wanted to get some feedback from current/previous owners on things to watch out for. Problems areas if you will.

Motors have 400 hrs, boat is sitting on a lift, so no bottom paint. Same owner since 2004, and seems to have had regular use. Frige and water heater have been replaced recently. Fresh water boat. 

Owner says boat does not have a fresh water inlet... is this not standard on these boats?

What do you mean "fresh water inlet"?

I had a 1997 280, and have a 2002 342 now and both take fresh water from the lake to operate the head.  Not sure what other inlet there would be.

Ah, if you mean the "city water" hook up, my 1997 did not have one.  Might not have been too common until later.

My 2001 310 also did not have a city water hose inlet for fresh water, tank only, easy add later

Ok, I just assumed cruisers that aren't trailerable would have it.

Pretty easy to add one on though.

It is very easy to add. I helped a friend of mine add it to his boat 2 years ago. The hardest part it drilling the hole in the boat.

ljh815 if you go that route and fit one - as others said, easy enough - be sure to use the correct regulator type, typically a Jabsco 44410-2000. Ensure any high pressure dock water feed is limited.

100 % on water limiter to avoid hose being blown-off due to surges. I also added a second limiter at dock water post - cheap at about $30. Double clamp all hose connections.
