Chapter 12 is now complete of my boating book entitled Rinker 270, and the beginning of chapter 13 has begun, Bennington 24scwx Tritoon w/150 Yamaha 4/S with 25 hours, I'm not leaving this forum for awhile, as I want to continue my joke of the day untill it reaches 4 k views. And want to hang around.
getting older, having a hard time getting into engine compartment to make repairs, My boating waters are similar to a lake, 1 mile wide by 50 miles long, between dams, very rule area, any boat that you have here has to be removed form the river in the winter, as we have 30 ft fluctuations in winter, I wanted something new or almost new, less maintenance. budget was $40,000. Ease of use, float, drink beer and wave at everybody, trailer home. Cruse speed 28 top speed 40. semi retired now, thats the short version.
congrats! Tri toon is the only way to go with a pontoon now. My uncle has a tri toon on Lake Cumberland with a 350 mercury on it! That thing flies and rides like a V bottom with the extra toon. I absolutely love it! If you don't need the cabin, pontoons are great, tons of room and very versatile!
Congrats Randy! You have always been extremely helpful around here, I hope you stick around! I hope that boat gives you many years of trouble free boating!

@Lake_Bum, is there any water in the lake out there? Lake Meade is it?

@Handymans342 Lake Mead is pretty low. I frequent Lake Powell mostly, it has quite a bit more, but a meager snowpack will hurt it this year unless something drastic happens in the next 3 weeks
