I have two aquariums, this one is in my basement. I built it in with access behind the wall (in laundry room). It is a 35 gallon. (yeah, yeah, no wise comments on the sailboat or Xmas lights)
Thanks @Skennelly! Mine looks a bit bare compared to yours. I'd like to add some more 'fake' corral. It's freshwater, so none of the really nice colorful fish, but it works.
@Dream_Inn that's the right size for a flat-screen behind the tank so the fishies can have a little change of scenery now and then.
You're right. That would be pretty neat to do!
MT, I have seen that show. They make some crazy fish tanks! Some of those homes they put them in are just amazing. They spend as much money on the fish tanks as the cost of some people's home.
Those tanks are unfortunately just for show and done the wrong way. I read articles about that show where they say many of the fish are dead within a few weeks because they are added to the tanks too quickly.
It takes around a month for an aquarium to be ready to add fish. They load it all up in a day.
Also some of the tanks were removed shortly after because owner (star) no longer wanted it.
thats awesome @Dream_Inn, my wife has been begging for one for years as she is huge into African Cichlids. Between the hot rod and fish tanks, I want an invite. We will be Annapolis bound in two weeks.
@skennelly you are 100% right. From someone who used to work in TV, they force it to make deadlines. They dont have the schedule to come back a month later to add the fish. Sad.
@06Rinker270 The cichlids are great fish. I've had them before, but unfortunately they are too aggressive for my current fish. We will definitely need to hookup!! We are uncovering today! Drinks on the boat tonight!
Nice tanks! In between builds right now, broke down my 90g reef tank this spring to make room for a 150g, but this summer just been getting all the equipment together and will start it up this winter.
