good morning gentleman =advise on anchor rode

hey fellas 
@ the end of last year we /i had to cut the line....after a hour messing with it==
heres something that happened==do not do=i took the line and cleated over the anchor hatch from side to side
i could not get it released =so instead of putting out a float/marker i had to cut it..
now the rest of the story
i have googled and rinker searched
i went with a new 14lb lewmar dtx at west marine on sale and free shipping=i wanted the stainless look.
i am on a fresh water lake and anchor for recreation ==my question is what is the right size line and chain for my windless=simpsom/lewmar 600==2006 rinker 270ec=i have read here that some has had a hard time fitting to theirs.

I replaced mine a couple seasons ago and I want to say it was 1/4" chain and 1/2" line.  I had reached out to Lewmar support to ask them and they came back with the recommendation.  This was after I got wrong kind of line.  I was told to get the triple braid type.  I'll see if I have any notes on the rode.

does any 270 owners know how much line and chain fits in the locker
im wondering  200ft/15ft or 150/15ft

Just replaced mine for my 2000 FV270 with Simpson Horizon 600. 50 feet of 1/4" chain with 150 feet of 1/2" eight braid line.

@Willhound=and the 8 plait line is working in the windless

Haven't tried it yet. But the supplier tells me he's had personal r experience using it with no issues with my model gypsy. So hoping for the best.

@trip_n - I have 100’ windlass rode with chain for 270FV for sale in the market place.  PM me if interested,

@gack if it's the 5/8" braid with 5/16" chain you have to be careful to check the  model of gypsy. Not all the Horizon 600 models use the same one. I initially bought that size partly based on some of the discussions here and found it was wrong. Had to exchange it for 1/4" chain and 1/2" rope. Cost me $100 in extra shipping.

and check page 24, all the specs are there. The gypsy drum model number is stamped on the inside of the gypsy.

went down and checked our gypsy =lewmar RC860
page 24 shows
American ACCO BBB 25.4mm 5 /16” American G-4 ISO 26.2mm 5 /16”

So that rode and chain that @gack has should work. I think I have an oddball, my 2000 FV270 with Horizon 600 has the RC0761 drum.

Yeah, saw that. Hoping that the 8 braid I bought will work. I think a lot depends on what kind of shape the drum is in. I bought a Titan, 50' of chain and 150' of rode.
