No power to waste/water level indicator

Hey All
New problem on my boat. Waste/Water indicator does nothing when I press either button. I assume a power or fuse issue. Any ideas where to start problem diagnosis? Does anybody know where the fuse located for the indicator on a 342? Thanks for your help!

My panel light switch has to be on for mine to work,but it is not accurate anymore so have installed door to view tank itself inside aft cabin locker

Maybe that’s the issue. Left AC side panel lights went out. All at same time so assume loose wire? Monitor is on DC side however. ??

Yes there I always something that you can do, takes a couple of seasons to get the boat the way you want it. Like captain Ron said, “a boat is like a woman, responds to touch”

Sorta related topic.  I have toyed with the idea of replacing the volt meters in the power panel with LED volt meters.  I need to replace the blubs anyway so might as well do both if I can.  Question is:  Would it be major surgery to replace the meters or are they easily accessed once the panel is out?

@Stodge they are easily accessible, everything is pretty open once you pull the panel. But I cant say how easy it would be to get the meters out, I didn't look at the meters specifically.

I think I'll focus on just the bulbs.  Shame I didn't think of this last season when I replaced the fridge.

I suggest replacing bulbs with LED type. I replaced an number of them when I first got the boat and not ling after, a few more. Each year one or 2 die. LED's - no more replacements.

agree and anyone doing the bulb change needs to count the bulbs, I had 19

I'm surprised how many of you have panel bulbs that burn out.  I guess I just don't turn on my panel lights enough to blow them out (watch, now one will blow). 

Liberty, I think it is a great idea to replace that meter with LED.  It will give a much more accurate reading.  It would be well worth doing with the panel out.
