we are thinking maybe=about a small portable electric grill=indoor style
any one have hands on experience

We have a large George foreman that we use on the boat, always outside but onboard on the counter where the blender is. We even use it at anchor with the genny running. Happy with it. Our dock mates have small electric Weber grills and love them, grill on the dock box.

We have both the foreman and the gas grill. The foreman is great for those rainy days or in marinas that don't like you using the gas.

It is nice that the foreman cooks from top and bottom, speeds things up.

two things i learned from experience when using these. 1) They will drip grease so have a paper towel or flat container handy 2) removable plates are a must for cleanup.  Having the ability to also have a flat side makes it versatile for breakfast foods.  We keep ours at home and just bring it with us when we might use it.

I tried an electric grill. Does ok. Slow. Went back to propane with a Weber Q.
