I saw that type hose on Amazon, but it's not UV rated. I'm not sure how much that would matter with the new stainless vents I'm installing, but with the old model I'm sure it would catch some sun.

I am considering re-doing mine too.  I saw one that looks interesting, but there's not much information about it:  Shields 420 Vinylvent.  Seems a little more sturdy, but I've never seen it in person.  The black might look sharp (for what that's worth).  

My preference is something less flexible than the OEM stuff.  

Prices are all over the place.  This is the cheapest I've seen.
