...I'd buy the same boat, my beautiful Rinker 28 EC, except with the radar-arch-attached-bimini instead of the bimini-under-arch design. We:

• can't enjoy spreader lights
• can't fold the bimini
• can't hang a sex swing or a disco ball
• can't easily add solar panels
• can't run with shade in just the front or just the back

The bimini-under-arch is an abomination. Buy stock in SailRite this fall amigo's; I'll make you rich (no offense @rich5318 @richardward2006 @richie @richee1 @RichG)

Would be expensive, but no reason why you can't have a new Bimini and posts made to attach to the arch.

I have the same issue with my 280. I should of gotten a 2008 instead of the 2007. Thats really my only beef with the boat

My canvas is all in great shape - so I'm thinking about either trying to modify it (cut out the radar arch section, attach it appropriately) or paying someone to modify it (see above).

Oh yeah - I'm thinking the top cloth bimini will be replaced with fiberglass - we'd leave it up 24x7 if we could. Might make it so that it lifts into and bolts to the radar arch.

Someone on here actually made their own hardtop and then had canvas zip to it.  I'm sure someone on here will help dig up that post.
