Water damage from leaky portlight

One of the issues the surveyer found last year was elevated moisture around the forward port side portlight. I verified later that water makes it’s way into the cabin around the edge of the window. 

I started pulling the cushions off to get a better look and found this:



The portlight is getting rebedded soon. How worried should I be about the wood damage?

That wood just supports your trim
other side of the wood is all glass

That’s what I was hoping, but I’m still worried about the core around the window.

Seal it and like that commercial goes
forget it
i am sealing my rub rail
and same side port windows this spring.
sealed top hatches last summer
