As funny as it was, I'm concerned that there have been a few "phantom" members over the last while that only post once, or post gibberish. I'm not as tech savvy as I used to be, maybe some of you younger tech guys can chime in, but to me that's a sign of a probe by a malicious individual/group or a bot designed to gather data like usernames and passwords. How many of us are guilty of using the same passwords for things like this forum, but also for things that should be more secure? Just what safeguards does the Vanilla forum software have to prevent malicious code from being planted in posts?
I think you all scared him away... I felt bad for the guy. Phil was way more normal than all of us. Visiting a forum once or twice a week is probably way healthier than visiting 10 times a day... just saying....

Right -- using a "life password" on multiple sites is risky. It's also unnecessary. Consider using a password manager such as LastPass. Free, secure, easy to use, works on your home computer, laptop and phone.
I use LastPass - every site is the max characters allowed and different. My master password is over 60 characters - including upper/lower/symbols/and some ascii. Good luck!
Warning! you guy's should stop useing you SS #. The internet is not a safe place. Scams and guy's like Phil. It may not be necessary for 60 characters on this forum, since there is not much personal info. But else where, there is a greater need for security. Beware. As LaRay put a notice, on the last Phil thread he was all over the place.
