Does anyone have a wiring schematic or know if the circuit for the transom shower water pump includes a relay or if it’s just straight switched? And if there is a relay where would they have hidden it?
@JeffH normally a pressurized water system (with tank etc.) has a central pump that turns on when it senses the pressure in the system is low. If your shower gets water from a tank and central system, then the central pump is where it's all happening.
It is just straight switched. If it is a cuddy, the switch is above the sink. Not sure where the switch is on an open bow. My 98 232 was a cuddy cabin.

Thanks for the info, mine is an open bow and the switch is on the dash. I’m making some changes to that circuit and think adding a rely to protect the wiring and switch seems wise.
I've used the cigarette lighter socket at the helm to run a compressor without issues. That circuit (at least in my boat) is on its own breaker at the helm.
