Water creeping in

I just purchased a 2003 Rinker 310 FV. After my sea trial I opened the engine cover and the hydraulics made a noise. (May just  need lube). BUT...My bigger concern was the foam on the bottom of the cover was dripping water. And had some water in the bilge. We had 3 footers.  The broker said we slowed down to quick. Thoughts?

Broker won't tell you there is an issue.  He will play down whatever the issue is.  Not your friend.

I hope you are got it surveyed.

Bottom of the hatch was wet?  That wasn't caused by stopping too fast I can assure you.

Open the hatch with the motors running.  I had a leaking raw water pump that was flinging water everywhere once.

It was surveyed and full commission on delivery by the marina it was stored at. But it was purchased in Jan in Ohio so engine survey was impossible. I will check the pump. Thank you.

Just sayin..  normally if you plan to purchase a boat in winter it's contingent on a good survey come spring.  Good luck with the new boat.
