Changing out coolant hoses

I have it on my radar to change out all my rubber hoses and the exhaust flappers on my 5.7 L Gen. Plus.  Some of them are pretty spongey.
Was going to do it myself after launch but now considering having my mechanic do it before launch. I wont have time so I'll have to pay him. He's ballparking it at $800 CDN including all parts. Sound about right?

Well.......the ballpark just got bigger. If I change out everything, just the parts are about $800. Plan B is we're going to wait until after launch and just replace what looks bad as needed. Going to use my snake camera to check the flappers in the meantime while boat is still blocked.

That's CDN $ but still around $600 US. The exhaust flappers are $75 times 2 and the four or five moulded hoses range from $40 to$70 each plus the hoses to the water heater. Add new clamps and a few gaskets and $600 in parts is probably low.
