hello,
Do these engines (8.2L Merc) require super unleaded fuel or can they run on regular unleaded?

    They say they can run on regular but I always ran 91 Marine in my 2014 twin 502s and my all of my earlier 350 Magnums: single 350 Mag in 2011 and twin 350 Mags in 2013.

    Hi Michael T, thanks for the response.  I asked my mechanic about that and he said no problem.  Something about the 91 not having any alcohol in it being better for the engines.

    YES!!!!! The 91 (Canadian pump gas) also called Marine Gas by many Canadian marinas has absolutely ZERO ethanol and has an absolute minimum octane rating of 91.

    Also:  I would use Mercruiser semi synthetic engine oil as it is now recommended (by Mercruiser) for the 502's because it prolongs the life of their catalytic converters - and those are quite expensive!
