Lowrance 5200C GPS - no satellites

mattiemattie Member Posts: 1,278 ✭✭✭✭

All of a sudden there are no satellites to be found. Checked all connections.

Did the "system reset" as per manual. Still nothing.

Everything lights up & seems to act normal.

Kinda need this repaired - it's my speedo as well. Dash mount.

Suggestions??

Not sure, probably soft. Zoom in, zoom out & power buttons at the same time. Maybe a hard reset with my fist is in order....

mattie is there anyone else you know that has the same system? Maybe you can check it out of their boat to see if its the unit or the antenna. Good luck and keep us posted....

Avoid the fist. lol. Do a hard reboot. Do you have a separate power switch for the GPS? I know mine set up does as GPS is always 'on' otherwise. It sounds like the antenna

What you described is a hard reset.  Pressing the Pages key plus the Pwr  key is a soft reset.   In any event,  so much for a reset.  As @Raybo3 said,  try swapping units with a neighbour if possible to narrow the issue.
