Engine hatch won’t open using the two override studs

my marina tried to open the hatch using the override studs and blew a fuse.  Now hatch won’t open at all, have to manually lift. Trying to figure out why. Checked fuses and reset have some circuit breakers and still nothing.  Trying to locate battery fuse to see if that is why it’s not working... any suggestions

Check for corrosion in the the connector at the bottom of the actuator.  Try unplugging and replugging it a few times.

We tried several times, we also used jumper cables directly to the actuator and that worked, but won’t open when trying to use the main hatch lift or the bypass used when winterizing

We feel that when our marina was trying to open the hatch and it didn’t work he tried to jump it off the and blew out something because the fuse was popped when we arrived

Did you reverse polarity when you tried with the jumpers???

Yes.  Tried both but still can’t electrically operate...the breaker on the helm but  don’t know where fuse is or if there
 even is one

Albrikb,  Should be just a breaker at the helm, marked "hatch."  I am not aware of any fuse anywhere.  Mine does require a strong battery in order to work.  Sometimes it hasn't worked if the batteries were low unless the engine is running, getting the power from the alternator.  Those little circuit breakers can go bad, and not reset.  That is rare.

I bet they are pretty generic...just Google it and see what you get.

When I was gonna replace mine it basically came down to making sure the extension length and strength were a match. Mine is an acculift but I think they are not around or hard to find so you can swap it with pretty much anything.

I'd try to get a look at the existing actuator for a make and model, then google that.  Should be able to find specs not to mention replacements.

Hi, Lenco model # 20782-001,it measures 37" closed and 61" extended. The original Aculift measures 37.5 closed and 55.5 extended . This should fit, would require you to mount both end bases
