270 aft cabin mattress replacement

Looking to replace the foam for the mattress in the aft cabin.  It's approximately 7 x 6 close to a california king that I can tell.

I'm looking for a recommendation on replacement foam.  I was thinking just getting a 3" memory foam topper, but I'm afraid that will be too mushy.  Anyone have experience replacing that mattress.

Looking to spend $150 max on a replacement.

I know this this has been answered, but I looked into this some time back. USUALLY, the mattresses are an off size, built to the boat specs, and never the other way around.  From Rinker it will be very expensive...from a mattress store, it may not fit exactly.  I'd go with a topper. You can cut it to size and although it will make your mattress taller slightly, it will not be enormous like most new mattresses.

we don't sleep on the boat much,I had new cushions made for the v berth and had them made a inch thicker  than the factory ones . In the aft area  I removed the factory mattress put in some new carpet , and I can store floats, the camper top  and the grill there in plastic tubs .when we need it for a sleeping area I bought a air mattress that seems to work fine

Like all mattress purchases I'm worried about getting something too mushy or too firm.

Thanks @Dirtythirty - Further discussing with the admiral I cleaned up the existing mattress and going to reuse it for now.
