Has anyone replace original Raymarine C70

Okay I know, if its not broke, dont fix it or replace. Need to catch up with the times. Who has replace their original Raymarine Chartplotter/Radar c70? I would like something in the same space. Also how do you factory reset this thing? My water temp on the chartplotter reads 140 to 160. Raymarine said this is a good thing that its showing a temp "but something is wrong" lol

    Google the Raymarine C70 manual, I did and found reset instructions pretty quick. I did the re set, replaced the battery in my gps antenna, and bought my local chart disk on eBay and I’m very happy with the C70

    Don't quote me but in think it's the power button and the first soft key at the same time and for 5 seconds. You can down load the Manual on raymarine's site. You can also get the last software update that keeps the radar overlay think its 4.87, if you do the 5.16 update you lose the overlay. Evidently I will update to the a98 this unit will fit the cut out almost perfectly. But you also have to get a new dome.  $$$

    Mine works but it take a while to lock in on the position so I mounted a a78 raymarine with a chrip transducer above the VHS.

    how do you like the A78?  I am having one installed this week as my raymarine C70 quit working last season.  I didn't bother adding new radome with it as i never used the old one.  but if I change my mind or the next owner wants it, it'll be compatible.

    Yes there is a small 3v battery in my antenna, i kept loosing gps signal so I opened the antenna and popped the battery out and replaced. No more signal issues. It remembers your last fix for faster start up

    @Liberty44140 I also changed the battery last year maybe I didn't do a good job? The a78 is fast and sensitive have not been on the water yet to see if you can touch it while driving. Had no sounder on the c70 so this will be nice to have.

    @reneechris14 my antenna battery literally popped out and let me pop a new one in, the older version of the antenna has solder points holding the battery in and I don’t think those batteries were easily replaceable

    Mine was soider pop apart with a blade. But don't think it makes a good connection with the new battery.
