Gear lube Reservoir

Drives were pulled over the winter, painted and new upper seals replace. 2 trips out and have had to fill the gear lube reservoir. I'm told this is normal sometimes after drives are pulled and put back on. Anyone experience the same? Obvious if this happen again I think this maybe a leak. I'm thinking the reservoir is a 1/4 of a quart. So I have now used a half of quart filling the reservoir.

Keep a close eye on it and look for oil sheen in the water

Keep an eye on it but it is most likely getting the air out of the drives "burping".

When my drive was replaced, I had to add oil a couple of times.

I haven't notice a sheen but will be watching next time out. They sat in my garage with gear lube full for a month and no leaks.
