Spray

Went out today with the camper canvas on minus the rear panel. Had an open section in the windshield and noticed a lot of spray coming in the cabin. Back seat was soaked and I was even feeling it at the helm. I don't remember it being this bad last year. Is it normal for others?  I will be removing the camper in a few weeks anyway.  Just curious.

Yup. ‘Tailgating’. Big danger is CO flowing back into the cabin.

Thanks.  I get the CO2 part.  Have witnessed it also.  That is why i try an open a part of the windshield.  It just seems that there is a lot more spray.  Wind and waves were non existent also.

Used to be called "the station wagon effect" the air pressure going over the top creates low pressure and turbulence at the back, sucking air, exhaust, and water spray in.
