12 volt accessory outlet fuse

The 12 volt accessory plug in the v berth wasn't working so I pulled it out to check the connections and discovered this goofy fuse set up. Never seen a fuse like that with a little terminal on the ends. Will pick up a conventional style fuse holder and replace it. Just a FYI for anyone not getting power to an accessory outlet.

Why not drill a hole next to it and install a breaker

Could. But don't like to drill holes for no reason.  Just as easy to wire in a new fuse holder. Outlet never worked in the year we've had the boat so the P.O. probably blew it. I've never really needed it either, just don't like having something on the boat not working so had it on my list this year.

I replaced one of my plugs with a USB charging port. One less item to get lost on my boat. Heck, I replaced two of my 120VAC outlets with USB outlets.

Don't understand going back with a fuse. Thats like going back with an 8 track. LOL

Yeah, I see your point. But it might never get used. Just want it working. So will keep it simple.

I remember I used to have to put a small piece of cardboard under the tape to make it work.

I remember having 16 valves in the engine and 8 valves in the radio. You gotta be really old to get that joke.

I never got calling vacuum tubes valves.  And yes I remember taking tubes into the drug store or Radio Shack to use the tube tester.  I actually have a console stereo with tubes.  It was fun finding replacements for them.
