I finished the transducer install today! I laughed when I saw how easy it is to acces the starter with a hole in the bottom of the boat!! Hardest part besides getting the courage to drill the hole was tightening the nut in the tight bilge. I was able to put it next to my indash depth transducer because it runs 192 kHz and the new one is 200 kHz. Just have to touch up the bottom paint around it.
I also noticed that the extension for the transducer where it hooks up on the transducer side only has 5 pins! I tested everything last night so I know it’s the correct transducer. Just strange it’s a 6 pin transducer that uses 3 pins at the GPS and 5 pins down at the transducer!!
Wow! You've got more balls than me. Just the thought of drilling a big hole in a hull gives me the jitters. Off topic, but seeing the plywood layer, I thought I saw somewhere that Rinker used pure glass for the hull to above the waterline...obviously not.
