House Battery Question

Can anyone tell me what the two sets of cables on the house batteries below are for? This is the setup on a 360. In the pic, you can see a positive cable and the associated negative cable attached to the left battery and another set attached to the right battery. The two batteries are connected to each other in parallel. Thank you.
