242 Air Conditioning Unit Location

My 242 doesn't have AC, just curious where the unit is installed. Can anyone take some pics of their 242 with AC? Trying to decide if this is an upgrade I want to do. Thank you!

My previous boat was a ‘01, the compressor was at the foot of the aft bed, to the left of the storage The water pump, thruhull & vent was in the step leading out the cabin. Sorry, I don’t have any pictures

Mine is a 2001 also, I'm having a hard time picturing where you say the compressor is mounted.

I took it to mean where your feet would be when laying in the mid-berth.  My 280 had a space in a similar location which housed the water heater and the after-market A/C unit.

Which side are you saying is the foot of the bed, where you enter? Port or starboard? on port left of storage would be where the breaker panel is and on starboard side left of storage I don't think there is any room under there. Unless they use one of the storage sections for the unit? Down below there are two storage spots on my boat. Ill see if I can find a pic.

I only had the right storage, where the left storage is, I had a removable vent, behind that was the compressor & the blower.
