anchor roller =thoughts=advice=1st hand

morning fellas
i lost my anchor and rode at the end of last season
i have replaced my anchor=dtx 
my rode=chain and rope
a anchor saver kit
my question is =06 rinker 270 ec
with a lewmar roller
it was never a self drop =had to go up and give a little push each time
so i see this lewmar dtx /cantelever roller

So your anchor was too small for the roller?  Instead of spending $275 on a different roller, I'd invest that money on a bigger anchor.

why do i need a bigger anchor

I'm just wondering why it wouldn't drop by itself.  That ain't right.  I'm thinking the anchor was too short for the roller.  Rinker would not outfit it that way from the factory.  

Every boat should have the biggest anchor that will fit the boat and the wallet.  Bigger is always better for holding power, which, when you need it you need it.

i also see and have talked to other boaters=that they hav ta give theirs a push

Bigger anchor.  Nobody ever told their insurance company that the boat grounded because the anchor was too big.
