Arch speaker replacement - what to do with old tweeter?

I have an ‘08 320 which has original Clarion CM1635 speakers that need replacing. Everything I’ve read and searched for here tells me the originals are discontinued...and so replacing them with something after market like Alpine 6.5” speakers are fine, but my question is what do I do about the old white / oval tweeter that’s separate from the 6.5”? The port side tweeter grill is broken and doesn’t look nice so I’m wondering what you guys have done? Do you just replace them with new 6.5’s and leave the old tweeters installed unplugged?

you could replace with another pair of components = what you have now

I have seen way to many of these end up like this in a few years.
