Mid bilge leak solved. 2005 320

goalie59goalie59 Member Posts: 326 ✭✭✭
I have been chasing a very small forward bilge leak for a couple of months. Finally removed the head toilet roll cabinet to find  a broken drain hose to through hull . The drain is from the rear of the helm on the floor in front of the cabin door. I relocated the shower pull out hose so that is runs away from this hose. Thought I would share as other people have been noticing water in the forward bilge area.

Actually in hunting down possible source of an odd scent I popped the same cabinet I could see water dripping from above at the hull and it was damp behind there. I had earlier washed the boat and sure enough, the head porthole is there. Pulled out, fan dried it all and re-caulked and all is good - plus cleaned and bleached where water had lay below the cupboard.

Water comes in from weird places that are not so obvious.
