We are driving NY CT RI and MA and are wondering if there are any boat supplies store that you shouldn't miss out.
Stores where you find stuff "you didn't know you needed"

Enjoy your visit!  If you were coming to Maryland, I'd say the West Marine in Annapolis, but I bet @raybo3 will have suggestions in MA.

    Hi
    Thanks you all for suggestions.
West Marine looks like the shop you shouldn't miss..

Yes.....and no. Think of them as the big chain store that will have almost everything you need as a boater. And some have some local flavour but if you've been in one West Marine you've been in them all.
If you get a chance when you visit also look up some of the larger Marinas with on site chandlers(stores). Usually great advice and intetesting stock for not much more money

    Hi again
West Marine, the one that @reneechris14 wrote about was the one that we looked up. Lot of fun things to buy :-) But i realised that the prices are higher that we have in Sweden, that surprised me.
    Thanks again for help!

I usually browse at West Marine to find all the "must have" items that I didn't know existed, then try to find them cheaper elsewhere. West Marine is a great place for " I need it now" but you usually can find a better deal online.

With West Marine, you have to factor in the 10% membership discount.
