Day 1 of a week's vacation, and we're going out tonight for our first fireworks of the week at Mount Vernon!  Then downriver for the Potomac Rinkervous, and back up here for the big show in DC with @Dream_Inn and a host of others on July 4th.

No offense to our fellow boaters in the UK, but - happy Independence Day!

Well, it's my weekend to work (we're a 7 day a week operation) but I did have today off with my family to get out on a pre-Canada Day cruise. Weather was stinking hot and the water warm.

A lot of folks are vacationing this week!  I had the pleasure (NOT) of driving from Virginia Beach to DC today.  Traffic was unbelievable, especially outbound from DC.

Anyone reading this -- If you go somewhere, go by boat!

Was at block sun 6/24 to wed 6/27  then hung out at Napa tree till sun. Admiral slip off swim platform and broke a rib late Sat night. She was hurting but stayed the night. I did take a dingy ride at block looking for you. Hope you enjoy the holiday stay safe.

That hurts, That will keep her from of wrestling with ya. Swim platforms are slick, Suggestion cover it, something non slick, made a huge difference when I covered mine. Probly not in the budget but worth it.

Those generators look nice, where is this again? And what time are you going to sleep?
They are Ryobi generators. We were at the Point area of Pittsburgh, where the Allegheny and Monongahela Rivers form the Ohio River.

Lol, that’s exactly what I meant... just joking around of course. The areas I boat in I wouldn’t dare leave that out like that, not that I’m in a bad neighborhood but crimes these days seem to be everywhere. I remember a post a while back someone stating that thieves hit a ton of boats at a marina for their batteries. That’s the crazy world we live in now and it’s horrible.
We were only there for the afternoon/evening. I wouldn't leave it on the wall like that if I was spending the night.

Wow, sorry to hear.  Hope you otherwise enjoyed the weather.  It was a scorcher out on block all week, but otherwise a great stretch of sunshine.  We got back to the marina yesterday.
