Humming sound in cockpit speakers

Still working on this new to us 2001 Rinker 340 FV.  Problem we are having with the stereo is the cockpit speakers have a pretty loud humming when we are on shore power.  If we turn shore power off, no humming.  Got any suggestions for us to check?

Try turning off the breaker for the fridges and ice maker.  I think that ended up being the cause in mine.

I had that issue too. Electrical interference. Just like from a car alternator.

My old system used to hum when the on board battery charger would kick in. Installed some ferrite filters on the power wire to the amp and it helped immensely . Cost about $5 on Amazon.

.....you sure that humming you hear is the speakers?????

Great suggestions. Will try those ideas next weekend. Thanks. Yea it is coming from speakers.

It was the refrigerator for me too. I switched channels on my amp and it took care of it.

Other thing is check the ground for amp and head unit. Loose ground will cause buzz also.

@Willhound - yes, as can the proximity to other 110v or even 12v power circuits.
