New Anchor Rode Questions

2003 342. It's time to replace our anchor rode.  Where the rope meets chain, the gypsy won't grab it anymore and it looks ragged.  I have to manually feed the chain into the gypsy and everything works fine.

I'm looking at this rode from Amazon.  Any experience with this?  Link to rode.

Also, since the existing chain on my rode is still in good shape, I'd like to reuse it and connect it to the chain on the new rode.  Any experience with this?  This would put my chain at 60'.  Link to repair link.

    I had problems with rode/chain I bought elsewhere so switched to all chain which I brought from Dark Horse.  Is good quality and works well with Lewmar windlass.
