272 Captiva Fridge 12V Only

My old Norcold DE251 died so I was able to pick up a refurbished unit.  Noticed when I pulled out the old fridge, it was only running on 12V not 110.  Is this correct?  The fridge has both 110V household plug and also 12V.  Can I run this off 110V on shorepower?  Any advice.  Thank you.

Sounds like a bad power module

I am not following?  Can you explain control module?  The fridge I pulled out had a grounded 3 prong plug but was not plugged into anything.  For other 272 Captiva owners - is this correct.  So fridge only works on 12V and if on shore power will continue to draw from battery.  Just want to verify.

The 110v wires and the 12 volt wires run to the module. When you unplug your boat from shore power it automatically switches over to 12 volt supply. When on shore power it will just run off the batteries and the battery charger keeps the batteries charged the way it is now.
